A short guide for two people to read at the same time.

This is nineteen pages for you and whoever is sitting next to you. One of you has a chronic illness. The other one loves her and doesn't always know what to do with that.

Almost everything written about chronic illness is written for one side of it. She reads one kind of thing, the people around her read another, and the two sets of words never end up in the same room. I made this one for the middle.

Six short sections:

  • What you're both standing in

  • The medical part, and what it actually costs

  • Who she is now, and who you are now

  • Time, energy, and the plans that were drawn for a body that doesn't live here

  • The conversation that mostly doesn't happen on its own

  • One small thing to actually do this week

Each section ends with one question for the two of you. You can answer it, answer it Thursday, or leave it. Nobody is grading this.

I have nine diagnoses. I wrote the thing I kept looking for and never found.

It's free. Put in your email and I'll send it.
