Is a renovation happening, or being planned?
Or is this a finished house, yours or somebody else's, where something now needs to change?
Has anyone drawn anything?
An architect, a designer, a kitchen showroom, or you on graph paper. A drawing is a drawing.
Has a contractor put a price on it?
A quote, an estimate, a number on the drawing. Not a signature yet, just a price.
Is a contractor signed, with a deposit paid?
If the deposit is paid you're here, even if nobody has turned up yet.
Has demolition started?
The old room is coming out, or already has.
Are the walls open right now?
Studs, wiring, pipes, and nothing covering any of it.
Is there a date you know?
Quotes due, the signing, demolition, or the day drywall goes on. Weeks is fine. Leave it blank if you don't know.
